How to compare two objects of different class and apply same operation on both
Suppose I have two classes, ClassA and ClassB.
ClassA holds a name and a list of classB. ClassB holds a name and a list of classA.
ClassA:
public class MyClassA
{
public string Name { get; set; }
public List ClassBList { get; set; }
}
ClassB:
public class MyClassB
{
public string Name { get; set; }
public List ClassAList { get; set; }
}
I need to make a function that gets two objects of the classA and classB and do stuff to both of them.
How do I do this?
This isn’t the exact question but hopefully it helps anyway.
A:
Create an interface with a matching function definition:
public interface IAmStuff
{
void Stuff();
}
public class ClassA : IAmStuff
{
public string Name { get; set; }
public List ClassBList { get; set; }
}
public class ClassB : IAmStuff
{
public string Name { get; set; }
public List ClassAList { get; set; }
}
Then when you need to do something with both, you just need to work on both classes that implement the interface:
IAmStuff x = new ClassA();
IAmStuff y = new ClassB();
x.Stuff();
y.Stuff();
Does that make sense?
You could rename the list property to something else (like Description), but I’ve left it as is.

There are vst 2 and vst 3, but also x32/ x64 plugs. There are also freewares.. Mix/Egaliseurs/DMG Audio/EQuality/x32/EQuality.vst3 1.6 MB.
