In 2019, we are also going to devote our resources to the Fair Pay Act, which would require employers to pay women the same as men for the same work, and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, which would ensure equal access to credit regardless of race or gender.

In 2017, Gov. Jerry Brown signed the new state-level paycheck guarantee (SB 827). This groundbreaking law will guarantee every California worker a guaranteed pay rate of no less than $15 an hour for full-time work, and up to $9 an hour for tipped work, no matter where they work. It will also ensure that businesses with more than 10 employees have to pay at least their full-time employees a wage of $12 or more, and large businesses with fewer than 50 employees must pay their entry-level workers no less than $11 per hour.
What does that mean for us?
We will need to put two cents on every $1 order.
